| Our predecessor company, Changzhou Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd., or Trina China,
was incorporated in December 1997. In anticipation of our initial public
offering, we incorporated Trina Solar Limited, or Trina, in the Cayman Islands
as a listing vehicle on March 14, 2006. Trina acquired all of the equity
interests in Trina China through a series of transactions that have been
accounted for as a recapitalization and Trina China became our wholly-owned
subsidiary. We conduct substantially all of our operations through Trina China.
In December 2006, we completed our initial public offering of our ADSs and
listed our ADSs on the NYSE. In June 2007, we completed a follow-on public
offering of our ADSs.
